This is a medium sized 170ml unglazed Yixing teapot, it has a ceramic mesh filter inside to prevent leaves going through the spout into your cup. It’s ideal for brewing for larger groups of 3+ people, for a smaller group with larger cups. The thin walls of this teapot make it ideal for brewing lighter oolongs as it doesn’t retain as much heat.

Some notes on this product:

• This is made of unglazed Yixing clay, this means it will subtly affect the taste of the tea brewed in it, and will over time pickup oils from the tea affecting the taste.
• The 170ml volume stated is measured with the teapot full to the brim with nothing else in it, in reality it will hold more like 140-150ml with tea leaves inside.
• This teapot was made in Yixing, Jiangsu, China.
• Rinse several times with hot water before use to wash off any dust leftover from manufacture.
• To clean rinse with hot water (boiling water is ideal), dab the exterior dry with a clean tea towel, shake any water inside out, then leave to air-dry with the lid off.
• Not microwave or dishwasher safe.
• Do not use detergent to wash this teapot, hot (ideally boiling) water is enough.
