Porcelain Blue Flower Kyusu

This is a white porcelain Kyusu with blue flowers painted on the exterior and a ball type mesh strainer on the inside. While this was probably made in Japan I’m unsure of the exact location of origin as it was originally purchased many years ago. It has a volume of approximately 330ml.

There may be additional of this kyusu with slight cosmetic differences available, I will update the listing when the first one sells.

Some notes on this product:

• This is porcelain, a neutral material. It will not have an effect on the taste of the tea like unglazed clay might.
• Currently the only available design is that pictured.
• Before using for the first time rinse the teapot several times with hot water to wash-off any residue left-over from manufacturing or packaging.
• To clean rinse with hot water (boiling water is ideal), dab the exterior dry with a clean tea towel. Then leave to air-dry with the lid off.
• Not microwave or dishwasher safe.
• Do not use detergent to wash this teapot, hot (ideally boiling) water is enough.
