Lightly Roasted Cui Feng High Mountain Oolong

This is a Taiwanese high mountain Qing Xin Oolong from Cui Feng a tea growing region about 1800m up in the famous Lishan tea region of Central Taiwan. This version has been lightly charcoal roasted.
It has a nice light roasted flavour and pleasant chocolatey aromas, but it’s more vegetal and fresh tasting than darker roasted oolongs.
This tea has only been lightly roasted so it’s probably better suited for porcelain and slightly lower temperatures compared to more heavily roasted oolongs.
