Blended Da Hong Pao Oolong
$12.20 – $43.90
Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe) is the most famous Wuyi Yancha (Rock Tea) Oolong from Wuyishan in China. The six original Da Hong Pao mother trees are a protected tourist attraction, and are between forty and several hundred years old, they’re no longer harvested and any Da Hong Pao sold today is not from one of these trees but from a cultivar that is directly descended from, or has been found genetically similar to the original Da Hong Pao trees.
This particular Da Hong Pao is very nice, I didn’t notice any off tastes or bitterness, and the roasting is light enough not to be overpowering. It’s a very satisfying, warming tea to drink and has a very pleasant aroma dry and when infused, I’d highly recommend it if you want a nice easy drinking Oolong.
