This is a chawan (tea bowl) ideal for drinking matcha from. It’s made in in the Minoyaki style with a Tenmoku glaze.

Some notes on this product:

• The dimensions are: diameter: 11cm, height: 8cm.
• Because it’s made of porcelain, a neutral material, it won’t affect the taste of the tea like unglazed materials might.
• This bowl was made in Japan
• The design and colours on each bowl may be slightly different due to variations in manufacture.
• Before using for the first time rinse the bowl with hot water to wash-off any residue left-over from manufacturing or packaging.
• To clean rinse with hot water (boiling water is ideal), and dry quickly with a clean tea towel. Wash shortly after use to avoid any stains (but if there are stains you can easily scrub them out).
• Do not put in the microwave or dishwasher.
