This is a tou chun (1st spring harvest) mao feng (hairy peak/tip), a green tea named for the hair and tippy nature. Grown in Ning’er autonomous county within the Pu’er city jurisdiction of Yunnan, China. It’s made up of small leaves and buds with a 1-2:1 leaf to bud ratio. When brewed between 70 and 80 degrees with a moderate leaf to water ratio this tea provided a lot of fragrance, a fair amount of sweetness, some savoury flavour and very little bitterness. It wasn’t very astringent and went down very easily with a quick head feeling.
A great daily drinker green tea.
Only available in 50g bags.
