2017 XDB Meng Ku Autumn Sheng Pu’er
$15.52 – $200.00
An autumn harvested Sheng Pu’er that has been aging since 2017, made from material from the small villages of Xiao Meng E, Dong Guo, and Bang gai, all within the Meng Ku area of northern Shuangjiang, a county of the region of Lincang in Yunnan prefecture, China. This is an area reknown for large leaved tea plants and you can see that in this cake, it’s a loose press that easily comes apart with large fuzzy leaves. It brews a pale yellow increasing in intensity as you brew stronger. It starts our rather drying with a vegetabley aroma but has no woody or fermented notes. It has a fairly strong slightly astringent after taste and a pleasant moreish flavour, with a thin profile. A good example of a slightly aged sheng pu’er, with some unique characteristics.
This tea is available as a full 357g wrapped bing, or as 20g bags of leaves broken off of a bing.
