Known in the west as black tea for the common colour of the dry leaves, but more accurately described as Red tea in the east due to the colour of the liquor. Black/Red Tea is highly oxidized and has a rich, full bodied taste, with sweet, fruity aromas.

Due to the way it’s processed, the caffeine in black tea hits you quite hard and fast, and it also has more tannins than other teas which can upset your stomach if you’re sensitive to them.
